On April 6, 2022 Spring Valley Church of the Nazarene became a temporary hub for Ukrainian refugees crossing from Mexico to destinations elsewhere in the U.S.. The Spring Valley Hub has served over 1,000 refugees and had over 200 volunteers. We have seen so many answers to prayer at the Spring Valley Hub from people traveling from Sacramento and Seattle to help with translating to receiving a portable shower unit free of cost. (Thank you Humanity Showers and Sulamita Church!) Every day God has shown us his faithfulness and provisional power at the Spring Valley Hub. A big thank you to Steve Babbitt, pastor of Spring Valley Church of the Nazarene, and Scott Archer, pastor of Central Congregational Church La Mesa, for your leadership at the Spring Valley Hub!
