Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene

The Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene has had a very good year as God has continued to confirm our mission  to the homeless and addicted in Lakeside. Not only do we have our own "Overcomers" meeting, that meets once a week headed up by Don McCoy, but we have 6 Alcoholics Anonymous groups that meet during the. We have members from these groups that attend our services and 4 have become members and board members of our church. Amber Tune,  who had homeless and her addictions several years, goes back to areas where the homeless live and the church helps her financially and prayerfully to minister to the homeless and drug addicted. Rev. Oscar  Duran, Pastor to our Spanish Speaking Congregation, restarted that ministry last summer, and God has brought in some great helpers. Rev. Duran is also attempting to start a work in Tecate Mexico. The Lord has blessed the church financially as well, as we have been able to pay all of our financial responsibilities. Darrell and Linda Eastis have continued to provide great teaching to our children in Sunday School and Children’s Church and from our new members, Dave and Amy Burcham there is an excitement as we attempt to provide activities for our children and youth. God has continued to really manifest  Himself in our worship services, led by Larry Rankin, for which we are extremely grateful. We have not made much progress in our dream to plant a church in Ramona but we covet the prayers of the assembly as we continue to prepare. Personally I am enjoying ministry as much as I ever have thank the Lord for the opportunity to minister at Lakeside.
